To Be Equal Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

To Be Equal

Go a girl or a boy hardly matters
But, must go on an equal footings
How long the world has to wait for
For a woman actually to be treated
Treated on par with a man-
So for she essayed iconic roles
Updating the image of fairer sex.

Realize or not things have changed-
Scene might yet, seems to be the same
No patience, no spare time to wait
For the man and women to be equal.

May be in some parts of the world
It has really a long way to go-
Both must keep on working towards
Even if, varying from place to place
Or home to home, being a lot of scope.

Though, things can't change quickly-
Yet, no patience, no spare time to wait
For the man and women to be equal.
