There is something quite unique about this. I don’t think I’ve come across a poem with such a narrative. And it works. The poem follows a sort of relating of experience and yet there is a great deal of tension in the poem. The reader is left wondering “what is going to happen? ” This is a skilful use of poetry and a very skilfully contrived device.

Wise and gentle words that guide, inspire and uplift - there is something quite meditative about the way you have composed this, the visuals engage the mind of the reader and force them to focus as the poem opens out. (And despite having come off the back of a bike twice, I found this very compelling.) A voice of true friendship is laid upon the page in amongst these thoughtfully composed lines.
