I will sing a song for you
At the first break of dawn
May every refrain in your heart
Re-echo when daylight is gone.
A poem to you I will humbly dedicate
Suffused with the fragrance of the sweetest rose
In praise of your beauty in every word
wrapped In the throb and cadence you love most.
When you are silent and alone in sorrow
My hand I will stretch out to you to console
At risk of my life to the coldest Arctic I will go
To the brightest hope I would bid you to faithfully hold.
Hark, it's the sunset making its last day-call
And soon darkness will descend upon us all
Will you re-read my poem and my song recall
Ere into my dreamy sleep I wearily fall?
