Times We Could Easily Belong Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

Times We Could Easily Belong

Before they came along
We could easily belong
Life seemed so beautiful 'n long
Nothin' could be seen as wrong
Until identities came along

It's a long story
If you so wished, better check it in history
And the whole setting in the factory
Remember the earth isn't a laboratory
For science isn't like pastry

Learn 'n take notes
For plenty're uncomely spots
Same's stolen or uncounted votes
Live your life the most
For a day lived rots

Yea, there's a huge vacuum in a man's life
A longing that exceeds that for a wife
Freedom 'n heroic expression so rife
But hate's not born from lots of strife
Love rides the wind like a kite.
