'Time to kick stand Cycle of life' fascinating lines, if 'Death's around the corner', it is time to keep to the straight road, unless heading over a cliff or into a ditch, then turn or u-turn as needed
Terry, I always feel great when poets find some of my lines to be fascinating.
I wrote the poems 'Death Waits Around The Corner', 'Whispers Of Fear Came Down The Line' and 'Simple Life Saving Choices', inspired by the poem 'Time To Roll Again', by the poet Richard Wlodarski and dedicated to Richard Wlodarski.
Part Two- - -well, I saw a few more words and expressions that could pertain to motorcycle riding but really my mind is recalcitrant and refuses to get off the motorcycle no matter what you are writing about or how loud it is or that death may lie around the corner- -I am such a rebel [especially when I get a notion in my brain] Top Marks for giving me a chance to relive a time of my life that was such fun! ! !
You must have also been reading ZEN AND THE ART OF MOTORCYCLE MAINTENANCE. What a brilliant book! Susan, it's always a pleasure to write poetry that allows readers to relive The Good Ole Days. Many THX for your comments, Easy Rider!
Part One- -Time to kick stand / Cycle of life - - for some reason, my mind jumped on a motorcycle and started roaring off, doing a little wheelie to show off a little when a more prosaic part of my mind made me slide to a stop and reread your poem- -
A beautiful poem! Touching expression. Loved reading it. Top 🌟
Many many THX, Dillip for rereading this poem. And liking it so much as to add it to your favourites.
