That; s my favorite passage too. Time is a mystery to me. Writing this poem made time almost seem benign.
I have listened to many modern physics lectures on the subject of time, and I am always left unsatisfied. It seems in their haste to divest their thoughts of the philosophical considerations in favor of the purely mathematical, they have foreshortened their ability for a wider consideration of the full dimension. Truly an intriguing subject, Daniel, and I love the narrative format you employ in such an engaging manner. Your tale-weaving skill is so adept, I had to force myself not to jump ahead. Beautifully crafted, Daniel.
Thanks so much for your appreciation, Seamus; I too try to keep up to date with what the sciences can our understanding of the nature of things. As poets we can describe the IMPACT of this new knowledge. At very least, we can create open space in the imagination for new ideas to bustle!
