We tell ourselves we still have time,
But do we, really? Only moments align.
Time slips away, like sand in the air,
Soft, silent, unstoppable, without a care.
We measure life in years, in milestones too,
But life's made of moments, and what we do.
We don't know how many sunsets we'll see,
Or how many times we'll hear a loved one's glee.
You might have a hundred chances left to say,
'I forgive you, ' or only three, and then it's grey.
You might still hold your child while they're small,
Or miss that chance, and never hear their call.
We live as if invincible, with plans galore,
But what if tomorrow never comes, and we're no more?
What if life passes us by, like a fleeting thought?
What if this moment's our last chance to live, to be caught?
This isn't meant to scare, but to make us aware,
To wake up, look up, and show we care.
Call someone you miss, apologise if you need,
Say what's been swallowed, and let your heart proceed.
Don't wait for the 'right' time, it's now, it's here,
This breath, this heartbeat, don't let fear appear.
You don't need more time, just stop wasting what's yours,
Cherish moments, protect them, and live for more.
Life's not measured by years, but by how we feel,
How boldly we love, and how fully we reveal.
So live for moments, cherish them with all your might,
And make it count, for you're here, and it's your life's light.
What a masterpiece! Great rhyming, and undying truths intertwined! Thank you so much for sharing this!

Beautiful! Very well penned and so true! A good reminder to all that our days have a number and we must decide how to wisely use the time that is given to us.
