Great lessons we learn from life. people come and go. some remain with us as true friends. some go away. some are thre for a certain time.. all for good. the reasons why they came into our lives, we do not know often. we shall not judge anyone. fill the heart with goodness and go forward united with God Almighty. tony

Dr. tony Brahmin, Encouragement is such a gift. It is affirmation; like a glistening ribbon when another acknowledges. Thank you for reviewing and then leaving your feelings-thoughts on this subject. Lessons.. Moving forward as you say with help and power of God Almighty. Blessings, Kathy

a bit tricky for me to follow, but i believe i did follow it enough to get the gist and perhaps more! i like the sound of it as i read it silently. i like when there is a Poet's Notes. but, unless you don't mind me finding typos, you might do more proofreading. JUST a suggestion. hee-hee. bri :)

Bri Edwards, your input is so welcome! I am trying to do my best so please know that any help is appreciated. You are kind and balanced in approach which is truly a treasure! Yes this poem is the result of a negative response and I simply was endeavoring to learn and create a learning and writing opportunity within said experience. We all can learn and sometimes it is good to admit the need.....................Thanks so much for coming by and giving your fun review and input........It means a lot! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Blessings to you..................Kathy

Seamus O Brian 19 December 2016

I enjoyed the staccato, almost stream of consciousness delivery of this piece. It felt as if we were privileged to witness the actual working of your mind parsing, evaluating, considering, and formulating a response to the critique proffered. It is so effective that the actual data of the critique is not revealed, so that we may focus instead on the response and effect. Well done, Kathy.

Much truth expressed here. Here, in my opinion is the best part: I am not you, nor you me; Timid inspiration- Agree to disagree.

Kim Barney, Accepting that others are different in thought, and many other ways we count is ok and in fact refreshing. Hopefully we learn from each other! We can hope and try right? Anyway you know it is nice to hear from others and receive there feelings and position from what we write. So thank you for yours. It is so nice to hear from you. Blessings this December night. Sometimes quite unexpectedly words of wisdom flow to us. It might have been dropped by a total stranger. However it might give us a new dimension to life and help us find out in what all areas we should effect a change. Such words can be easily brushed aside as a stranger's random words. But you have found them to be a step towards reaching finesse and have taken those words readily to the extent of chewing them and mulling over them. Great piece Kathy!

I like the presentation of this poem- and I am glad you took time to give this piece the perfect title. Throughout the poem I kept thinking of all the lessons we receive in life and give as well. For the teacher there are lesson plans, for the student there is either interest or yawns. It doesn't change much as these students grow up and life starts teaching them lessons. They still either listen and absorb and contemplate or they yawn. Yawners tend to blunder through life wondering why they never seem to get anywhere. I digress. This was a very worthwhile piece of writing. Be kind to us and post more poems... much more!

Susan Williams, It's fun and rewarding to touch base with others here. I find it really interesting how many can find a different viewpoint and come from a different angle because of where they may be in their own life process. I hope that we as humanity can learn to be patient with each other as we work out this life of ours. Thanks so much for your honest and forthright response. Very cool! ! Blessings to you...............Kathy

I wanted to see a summer poem by you since your Autumn poem related fall colors to the earlier season. Writing this poem is not really about summer, it's rather an assessment of your view of our human life as one of continual growth and learning, not book learning so much as learning about life by living it with full awareness, sensitivity to our surroundings, responsiveness to the messages hidden in our experiences. This is the path toward Wisdom and I sensed a very American inspiration here as Nature informs your Spirit. This is what Thoreau embodied in his prose and poetry and we can all grow from his example. New England - Minnesota - Oregon: it's the landscape of America that inspires us! !

Daniel Brick, It is refreshing to realize the interpretation of others to a piece shared. This was one that was written a while back in response to a comment I read talking about narrow mindedness. I got to thinking about it and this was the result. Bless you for your honest thoughtful response..................Kathy

I am not you, nor you me important. We just all are fighting in a different battle. i would rather see we people join forces against personal struggles and help each other. Bless you for responding. I pray you find lessons in your life! ............Kathy
