Till There Was You Poem by Minerva Agriam

Till There Was You

I was inconsolable, insolent
And troubled;
Noise, fears, and pains trampled
My broken spirit.

I was fearful and coward,
Seem no confidence;
Self esteem has no chance
To make myself strong.

I was hiding upon my
Little world;
Consoling my wounded spirit
With hapless things.

I was a little prisoner
Of fear to trust;
To confide to the loving and
Helping hands of love.

Till there was you who
Brought simple things;
With truth and honesty, you
Broke my complexities.

Then suddenly my world
Becomes sunny and gay;
Coz there was you brightening
Up my days.

And when there was you
My whole world changed;
I learned to love coz there was you
Who showed me how.

And then there was you, sharing your delightful poem to brighten my morning, with a beautiful reminder that love is always just around the corner, waiting to make a dark world shine with new, glorious light. Bravo, good poet!
