Tiffany Poem by Tommy Whisenhunt

Tiffany

These last few days gave me an epiphany.
I discovered this incredible lioness.
She is you --Tiffany!

You're stronger than you may know?
You ARE the firm foundation.
You don't just move wherever the wind blows!

You're a fierce trailblazer!
I'll follow while you lead the way.
You are Polaris and I'm a stargazer!

But sometimes I'd take the reins.
By my side you could ride shotgun.
And Together we'd be two links, not easily broken or strained.

And after your long work day, you can be my patient for a start!
A little wine with a foot message.
I'll even mend if you have a broken heart.

If you get sad I'll console you and be your clown.
Pull you in close and tell a stupid joke.
Turn that frown upside down!

Then, with my chest against your back, breath in your ear and hands on your side.
You will know how beautiful you are!
And you'll smile while the time passes us by.

I've imagined this place before the journey even starts.
And one day when i arrive; if you can't be there?
At least i know you'll have my poem, if not my heart!
