Tick-Tock Poem by Blessing Kalamatila

I find it funny how our relationship with God comes second when the clock in every hour ticks without us giving a minute or two back to He who gave us this borrowed time.

Now is the time to live according to his standard but we think it's fine knowing how not to properly show gratitude,
what kind is this attitude we possess as Christians that seems enough for us to be enticed by the love of money;
forgetting His Son for your faith in return paid the Highest price.

It's Stunning how easy it is to forget that we are engaged in a spiritual battle and that's why it is hard for us to open scripture;
like we are easily distracted from the Bible.
To test this theory, allow me to ask where in His book is it written? For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, …
I see you have no clue but to remind you,
that's 2nd timothy 3vs 2.

Peep this, as young adults, we need no cane (cain) this walk with Christ
but it feels like we've been cursed from the start; how we look down on what God is still able(abel) to do,
Tell me, why is it so hard for us to be each one's brother's keeper?

Think of the word reaper;
not the robbed skeletal figure with a scythe in its hand but a person that harvests a crop;
because through His son's selfless acts, we have the mark of greatness but luke 10 vs 2 reminds me of how the harvest is plenty and the labourers few.


Help me get through this equation,
See! you were nothing but a product of Sin; which only makes sense for us to multiply the earth with disciples in all nations,
And if He didn't die for some(sum) but all who believe then it makes sense that He added Grace to this gift called salvation,
So, if He subtracted from us eternal death;
why would you think reading the bible makes no difference?

The clock is ticking and time is coming when you will account for all the dirt you throw on each other while looking this clean as you sit in those Church pews every Sunday.

See, a day is coming soon where those who truly believe in Him will vanish into thin air;
like a magic trick, only without the trickery because the prophecy will then be fulfilled.
