I gave you my best.
My worst I did too,
To remind you I'm human.
I laid myself bare,
Telling and sharing my pain.
Maybe I was too much,
Or you just don't know my worth.

It takes a one and a one to make a two.
It takes a two...to make a pair.
So why pretend to not care, just to be the strongest one?
I never needed your strength,
Just your love through a share.

Investing in me, endlessly digging deep.
So far, I know my worth and what is best for me.
Treating me less than I deserve, is not part of the deal.
So until you know you, I'll walk away before in the pain I sink.
