Three Kinds Of Goodbye Poem by Mary Champion

Three Kinds Of Goodbye

Three kinds of goodbye
As she leaves like a fading dream.
Nobody understands why,
When love's not quite what it seemed.
Three kinds of goodbye;
Adios, Adieu and Farewell.
A smile a tear or a sigh,
Now time has broken the spell.

Their first good bye-
The night that they met -
Just a wave and a smile
For they'd meet in a while
No time for regret.

Three kinds of goodbye
As she leaves like a fading dream.
Nobody understands why,
When love's not quite what it seemed.
Three kinds of goodbye;
Adios, Adieu and Farewell.
A smile a tear or a sigh,
Now time has broken the spell.

Then came the day,
When love went awry.
When the tears fell like rain,
As two hearts felt the pain;
The hardest goodbye.

Three kinds of goodbye
As she leaves like a fading dream.
Nobody understands why,
When love's not quite what it seemed.
Three kinds of goodbye;
Adios, Adieu and Farewell.
A smile a tear or a sigh,
Now time has broken the spell.

Days turned to years
And by chance, they met.
But this time their goodbye
Was no more than a sigh
Of wistful regret.

Three kinds of goodbye
As she leaves like a fading dream.
Nobody understands why,
When love's not quite what it seemed.
Three kinds of goodbye;
Adios, Adieu and Farewell.
A smile a tear or a sigh,
Now time has broken the spell.
