This is a miserable children's poem which always gave me nightmares-
This is the very first poem I remember hearing as a child and then learning it word for enchanting word. Thank you Beatrix Potter and sleep and rest well.

If they are blind, how can they run after the farmer's wife? How do they know where she is? Why does she cut off their tails? Much better to cut of their heads, yes?
