Memories are like books
Storing your life's experiences in long threads.
Some memories are sweet, some are bitter
Some are engraved deep, some are shallow
Some give you strength, some arouse your fear
Memories folded in life's pages
Are our lessons to recall at later stages
When we recall those courage and resilience
That stood the exams of time
And the love and care that helped us
sail through the sea of strife
We become thankful to God for His blessings
We recall our loving family and friends
Who stood by our side in moments of darkness
We also recall our enemies and foes
Who tried to defeat and demean us
Yet we came out stronger by such struggles
Life's tests and turbulences
taught us to become a fighter
They also taught us how to remain calm in adverse
And how to treat pleasure and pain in equanimous.
