Been thinking for some days on what Plato said,
'At the touch of love, every man becomes a poet'.
What about a woman? I know how a touch of love,
Sometimes real and sometimes wishfully fancied,

Filled with such depth and thought, a truly remarkable poem. The last verse is my personal favourite. A poem of beauty and love.
You've inspired me a lot with your appreciative comment, dear @Leah Ayliffe. 'A poem of beauty and love' - thank you!
I did not think it was lenghty but an elegant soliloquy on your thoughts. Plus who can argue with Plato.
Thank you so much, Captain Cur, for your kind and thoughtful appreciation. I am much inspired. I've just read your poem 'Delilah, Across The Sunlit Sea' and left behind a comment there.
.....love, sends chill through your body, makes you ill with restlessness............adds that flavor to life, you can hear melodies, and tunes in cacophonies.........you see her everywhere.....in moon, in flowers in everything! .......these beautiful verses ignite that flame within you.....enlighten your spirit........
Thank you so much, @Yash Shinde, for sharing your illuminating thoughts. A lover's eyes see nothing but beauty, always, everywhere!
Beautiful thought, however you will find out later, that in the beginning all is just lovely, but later when the couple find out each others habits, mistakes, weaknesses, there goes the dreamy love. Sorry to ruin your dreams, but I have 80 years behind and believe me, I learned a lot. Wishing you the best.
You have spoken words of wisdom, dear Lasoaphia Quxazs, from experience gained from a life's length. You cannot be wrong. Appreciate your thoughtfulness. Thank you for reading my poem and commenting on it.
When love touches, it turn man be a poet say pluto, and melt woman heart mostly said...but again when the love broken, all hearts become poet again just the way they write we hear lines in different part.. Love is poetry, either it broken one or growing one...thats what i have seen here in PH_Soul
Your observation is right, Unwritten Soul, that 'love is poetry'. A nice thought and expression. Thank you for the comment.
This is beautiful Khairul..... Yes, a touch of love adds flavour to life like a pinch of salt to a dish.... People in love begin to see the world clothed in silk and satin of attracive hues.... they hear around them the symphony of a song in every pleasant sound.... the birds' song carry a rare melody.... the whisper of breeze, a message of endearment, the rainbow, an added adornment! Just as a man in love becomes a great story teller and listener, a woman weaves her gossamer shroud of gentle love! But the words 'gossamer' and 'shroud' warn us of dangers lurking somewhere.....! Enjoyed! A 10 for this entertaining write!
'Just as a man in love becomes a great story teller and listener, a woman weaves her gossamer shroud of gentle love! ' - Ah! How poetic your thoughts are, Valsa! At the same time, you are not far from reality when you say- 'But the words 'gossamer' and 'shroud' warn us of dangers lurking somewhere! '
