'Thoughts' Poem by David Cleveland

'Thoughts'

Rating: 2.0

This man walked up and put a gun to my head.
He said do as I say, or you will be dead.
So I started thinking, if I had one more goodbye.
I would say these things before I die.
I love you mom, I wish I had said it more.
Dad, I'm sorry I left your tools on the floor.
And to my little brother, who was always a pain.
It hurts knowing I'll never see you again.
And to my unborn child, that I never had.
I'm sorry I won't have a chance to be your dad.
And to my Lord, who I love and praise.
I'm ready my Father if today's the day.
