(cont.) In 2022 my wife had houses in both states (the states share a boundary) . I was probably in SC while she was 'just visiting' her property in NC! ! ! : )

THAT WAS/IS NOT TRUE. I think the 'North' and 'South' referred to North Carolina and South Carolina. (cont.)

GEE! ! ! I JUST REVIEWED COMMENTS BELOW...AND IT SEEMS AS THOUGH SOME READERS THINK/THOUGHT THAT MY WIFE HAD 'CALLED IT QUITS'/SEPARATED OR DIVORCED. (CONT.)

Liked how you crafted this poem. So spontaneous and heartfelt. I concur with Bharati's comments. Your love and her love will keep the marriage alive.

A sweet poem on love. It is quite true that the mutual love and affinity do not hold us back from yelling to one another occasionally. That is because "we are human". Good one, Bri. Enjoyed reading it.

A great poem with touching expression. The last line expresses profoundly how you love your wife and how you miss her even in a few days of separation.

Well, Bharati, thanks for comment, ...BUT I don't 'exactly' 'miss her'. I know she is 'missing' and assume she'll be back someday and contact me at least once while gone. (cont.)

It is a good break for us I think. I pile dirty dishes in sink, pile dirty clothes in a corner, eat my ice cream and cake...and nothing else! (cont.)

BUT I still walk about 100 yards down to mailbox and up the same inclined driveway to return. I just came back and forget what else I planned to say. (cont.)

Damn PH says I 'need to fill in my name above, told to me after I hit 'send' I'd NOT copied it! ! Now she called and says she will be gone for a 2nd night.

Now she called and says she will be gone for a 2nd night. You know, I think, PH rarely asks for name of sender; it usually fills in the name for me.

OOOPS! Sorry I misspelled 'Sylvia' one time here. I think that is called 'transposing' two letters, 'vai' instead of 'via'. : ) bri
