Thou Enemy Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Thou Enemy

Rating: 5.0

You whom I detest
With body and soul
For wicked acts merciless
Decide to call at my abode
And afflict no one
But my beloved
Love of my heart

Uninvited quest
Tormentor of the flesh
Enemy of the heart
Why come to my house?
To bring down my paragon
Snub my happiness
And substitute with agony

Depart ye thou
Agent of the devil
Harbinger of death
I denounce you
Rebuke you
And whole again
Will my love be made.

Kingsley I touched by your poem about the heartlessness and cruelty of illness. A good one!
