Those Happy Sundays Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Those Happy Sundays

Rating: 5.0

We sat beneath the old oak tree,
With sandwiches and flask of tea,
It was a Sunday afternoon,
We listened to our favourite tune,
On our old portable radio,
We laughed so much,
Our eyes aglow,
With happiness in natures hands,
Life was so good,
In our homeland.
Those days will never be replaced,
Remembering your smiling face,
And through the years that memory,
Has touched my heart,
To stay with me.
