From the beginning I appreciate the title of the poem 'Those Eyes-A...' as there is abyss relation among eyes and love that you have inscribed here hauntingly and astutely.Let it be quoted... Two eyes of oceanic depths Relaying the most intimate message I love you (?) It is your 700th poem as a remarkable one in a dedication to valentine day of lovers. Thanks so much.

Dear Valsa, My heartiest congratulations on your number seven hundred. I remember myself reaching number 100 and then 200 and very recently 300. Each time it felt like a moment to be celebrated. Seven hundred is truly something special. In my almost 7 years on this website, there have been quite a number of breaks too. Whenever I find the time and inspiration to get back to poetry, I tend to start by visiting some of my poet friends like you. To read your poems has so often a special effect on my soul. This number 700 about those eyes is ranking surely among your many master pieces. The images and melodious verses stir something deep inside of the reader. Take a fantastic break, my friend. And come back with lots of inspiration and muse. I am sure soon we will read your number 1000. Maybe by that time, I would be able to reach 500 :)

Valsa- - - - - - - - -Stunning- - - - - - - - stunning- - - - - - stunning. You use words like they are the paint on your palette, part of a multitude of colors and hues and tints of a well-harvested box of oil paints, spread out on an elegant and rich and huge palette. Your images shimmer with richness- -your lines are embroidered with a golden glow. I enjoy reading your poems, those pieces of your soul that you share and give us flight. Congratulations to you on this being your 700th poem you have posted! ! ! Congratulations to us for getting to read 700 poems written by you! ! ! This is what is called a win- win! On another note, have you ever looked at a name and say to yourself- dang but I am glad I know this person, he/she has enriched my life so. I think your name evokes that thought in thousands of PH members.

Susan, once again I am bowled over by your comment! I loved your image of the palette and spread of oil paints. I am in love with oil painting. When I take a break from PH, it is exactly what I would do. Though I am not a great artist, painting is my hobby besides gardening. I am awed by the power of your comments and I must say, it is such comments, that make my poem lovable! Once again thanks a lot !

Aristotle called the eye the most intellectual organ of humanity. Foolish Man! He had not been witness to the sensual transcendence of your poem. This is a paen to passion, its overwhelming force, its overcoming of limitations. The opening description of the eyes is already vivid, but when you add Promethean fire, normal seeing has been raised to soul-seeing. Aristotle's materialist philosophy is left far behind. This is transcendence. CONGRATULATIONS on a stunning finale in #700. Enjoy your break: you're on a poetic plateau and deserve one.

Wow.... I am floored by your comment! You have elevated my poem to the level of effecting transcendence, eclipsing even Aristotle's notion of the power of eyes! Thank you so much for this acknowledgement, though I don't truly deserve it!

What an achievement! Seven hundred quality poems that set readers thinking. Poetry of variety - sonnets, limericks and what not, musical, well-rhymed, on a wide spectrum of subjects covering humor, love and profound philosophy! Congratulations! Loved this Valentine Day poem of yours. Lovely words woven on a lovely fabric. Inimitable imagery. Great that you are able to cast your net and patiently wait looking into those shining pools, despite the fact that they have set you on a virtual conflagration. Wish you all the fish and all the best, M'm! (10)

Marvelous poem of such intense beauty. In those flooding pools let me cast my fishing net. Love is an emotion of intense passion but more than that it is always a risk taking when it comes to its reprocity. That is what makes love such an appealing game. Even when one fails there is always some intense fire burning in somebody's eyes that pulls one helplessly like moth ready to burn in that fire. While all your poem talks about the charm for those firey eyes, it is the last line that sums up the nature of love. Passion, attraction, risk all so well connection with love's mysterious power. Loved the poem and I like very much your free style too. Congratulations on your 700th poem. Though each of your poem is a gen in itself.
