This Rainy Day (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

This Rainy Day (Part 1)

Rating: 5.0

It is raining
This rainy day
The solvent pebbles
Which the sun drank in gas
Now replenishing from the sky
And ubiquitous, hit and splatter the soil
To cool the earth of temper

It is raining
This rainy day
As huddled on the floor near the fire
In woollen attire
A steaming cup beside
confirms house imprisonment
By natural phenomenon

Earth needs water but too much of it causes havoc. Thanks
