This On-Going War Is Theirs, Not Ours At All. Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

This On-Going War Is Theirs, Not Ours At All.

We are all separated from
Each other globally
As an ugly war reaps
Its outcomes on all levels,
We are all victims of
Others' ugly plots
Against us anytime,
Anywhere and everywhere,
We are all displaced
As a result of
A war which totally is not ours
At all,
We are all sad, gloomy, and
Even tired
As an ugly outcome
Of what's going on around us,
We are all treated almost badly
By different circumstances
Here and there,
We are all scattered
Anywhere and everywhere,
We are hopeless and even
We are all far from
Re-uniting soon
For many and many different reasons,
We are all losers of
Others' careless acts
On our lovely soil,
We are all innocent
Simply because that's
The real truth of
Our whole situation,
We are all under the pressures of
Losing our houses and
Our whole belongings
As the ugly war burns
Everyone and everything
Around us,
We are all far from
Any pretty peace
As bad things keeping going
Against us completely,
We are all heart-broken
As our whole world
Is absolutely deaf, dump, and even
Blind towards what's going on
To all of us
East,
West,
North, and
South
In our whole world.
