A delightful heart felt write of sincere emotion and a mothers love. We all grow so fast and a mothers love is so special and no doubt your love was not only nurturing but a tonic and a love for life.
This was a wonderful read Karen, being the son of a mother who means the world to me, this touched me very deeply as it made me think of memories that have been laying dormant for a long time. For sons everywhere I say thank you.
Oh, where do the years and our children go? They turn from adoring acolytes into the most critical of judges overnight.
Oh Karen this is so good! It makes me reminisce on my two that are now grown,1 is 6'4 the other 5' 10 :) Their exquisitely silky soft skin when babes was so beautiful, the baby soft, blonde curly hair...now they are men, and as you say...large toes, square shoulders: 0) ......Such a beautiful poem.....love it.
