This Land Of Antiquity Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

This Land Of Antiquity

This Land Of Antiquity

The peripheral daysof summer,
life in general,

The decadentbeauty of time,
The everlasting articules of faith,
and literatures,

Life's ascendancy,
Granular days with the wild things,
Restless shadows,
and the dark evergreens,

The valleys heartland's
is an unfailing nobility of time,
pastural holiness,

Man trudged errants for bread
and water fetchings
asubstance called life's redeemer, ,

In the wide arraysofimplements,
hand tools, war armours,
for wheat's planting,
And stones fortifications,

While their armies clashes far south,
Deaths erased their own memory
Pugnacious life and death duels,

Languorous castles,
Prestiged landscapes.
Fallen humanity,

Images of life's tournaments,
Highlightingthis lands of antiquity.
