Thanks for your comments Shaun yes I'm very aware that modern technology is very much a double edged sword. However, since around 2001 I've noticed a marked decline in the quality of human communication. I find it paradoxical that we now have very advanced technologies to help facilitate communication all over the world, yet there seems to be a sense that it has becoming increasingly facile.

Well said, well written, well observed and extremely well presented. Dominic there is good and bad in all modern technology, it's how to deal with it, what to accept and what to reject..... For will this latest cold and linear, shiny, hideously expensive and by next month soon to be outdated new gizmo improve my vain, social standing. Clearly no. 10++ and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Life and some people can be hard and mean, but, not al the time.
