This is not a fire drill,
It's not a practice run.
The flames are real, the danger's real,
The heat, it can't be shunned.
The alarms are blaring loud,
Piercing through the air.
The smoke is thick, the panic, wild,
We need to act, we need to care.
The walls are crumbling down,
The ceiling, it may cave.
We can't just stand here, frozen,
We must be brave.
This is not a fire drill,
It's not a game we play.
We must escape, we must survive,
We cannot delay.
Through the chaos and the smoke,
We hold onto each other.
We'll make it out, we'll find a way,
We'll lean on one another.
This is not a fire drill,
It's a test of our will.
We'll come out stronger, we'll come out alive,
We'll overcome, we'll prevail.
The flames will die, the smoke will clear,
And we'll emerge, changed and still.
For this is not a fire drill,
It's a reminder to never take life for granted, until.
So let us learn and let us grow,
From this experience we'll take.
For this is not a fire drill,
And we'll be better for it, for our own sake.
