This Is My Moment Poem by Arun Maji

This is my moment
May be, my only moment.
Who knows
A car might hit me
Or a blazing firenado might swallow me
At very next moment?

I must live this very moment
Fullest, earnest, most.
I must drink beauty
As much as I could.
I must smell fragrance
As much as I could.
I must love
As much I could.
I must see sunshine
As much as I could.

If I could see sunshine
Why would I cry in darkness
Fearing future?
Rather, if I see sunshine more now,
Smell fragrance more now,
I would be happy and strong in future.
Sorrow, unhappiness and repentance
Are result of
Not living current moment well.

Human is self-destructive, self-punishing.
He is blessed with current moment
Yet, he lives in past or future
Ignoring beauty and splendour of current moment.
Thus, he loses his all moments of life.

O divinity,
Enlighten me with light
So that I could see
More beauty of this moment.
