Very sincere patriotism. You obviously love India. 'Despite the history/ our country remains secular'. I had thought that India was a more religious country than most. You have the different religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity. Gautama Buddha was from India. However, you know your own country better than me.

There is no logical or rational basis for discrimination among men and women. What used to be an exclusive domain of males a couple of decades ago, has been taken over or at least partaken by women now. We wish India moves ahead as a progressive and liberal society free from the reactionary yoke of the past. Thanks.

It is no where written that a particular gender, will always surrender. It is nowhere written in the religious books, that you'll be favored if you are white or have good looks. It is actually a myth, Established by the uneducated filth. very very nice. as an indian living abroad naturally i feel happy to read such poems. your lines make me think of the emancipation that India needs regarding women and slavery. there should be a revolution that will bring such radical changes. thank you. write, write. tony

Absolutely wonderful tribute to the Indian people! I have many friends from and in India, I find them to be a gentle, caring and compassionate people, whom I very much admire and respect. Here in the U.S. I have made friends with many people from India, they teach me of your culture, which I love learning about! Most are brilliant, learned and wise and I am very glad to have met them. If all goes well health wise, I plan to visit India very soon, I can hardly wait to experience everything I have learned about! Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn
