I wish I caught 'em
Words fleeing from my brain
I guess I was too lazy to get--my notebook
No, I am tired
Been a hectic day
The minor disappointments I had
But forgotten them after
Spending the day watching TV
And the endless hours of solitaire
This is the poem I was meant to write
Too bad it's five o'clock
I'll type it up tomorrow
Wow, I have seen myself in this wonderful poem. Always resonates to a lot of us. Words are like birds, they come and go in just a blink of an eye. Thank you for sharing, LeeAnn and thank you too for all your inspiring comments.
So many times, I have been in this situation. Beautiful lines of poetry appear in my head, but I am either driving at the time or for some other reason can't write them down at the time, and later they have disappeared again. Bravo, LeeAnn!
Wow what a relatable poem swell and super to read. Its happening to me like that these days ah. Plz also read and comment my newest poem, titled, 'Man's greatest enemy '
Keep a pencil and pad next to your head to write down your dreams.
Spend five minutes before you retire to bed thinking about waking up to certain dreams
2) cont'd: Good job, LeeAnn! You wrote the poem. And got some great responses!
Isn't it frustrating when that experience happens while you are sound asleep? Most of the time, I sleep through it. And then I regret it because the words have vanished.
Excellently shared! .. Excellently expressed! .. Endless 10'S And Stars! ..++++++++++++++++++++++++++
