As the sun simply touches the hills,
this heart of mine senses morning.
A wild joy splashes over my soul,
and I leap into that which is the highest.
This madness brings the godly self in me.
This hill, this dawn, this quiet,
awakens the tender self in me.
How the earth glimmers with fields of gold
and reveals the stairway to heaven! .
This earth is my holding. This earth is my wealth.
Living with dawn and sunsets in my heart,
I now know what poetry truly is.
I am out with longing, every moment, searching for myself.
I am out, trying to hold the stars into my breast,
longing to fill myself with the space of light.
Not knowing when ecstasy will fill my cup,
I open the windows of my soul.
Sensing the layers of earth, I sense God.
Suddenly, a wounded soul finds the light,
And the lonesome nights are filled with songs.
The path in the dark takes me to the galaxy in sky,
The moon comes and fills my heart,
And I drink into the night.
These poems are my letters to God,
who wrote himself on the hilltops and sunsets,
and in the fresh flower fields.
These poems are my love letters to God,
who left his signature through the opening of spring.
