A deafening silence did loom over the land,
As the king of Kings in death did sleep,
The grand display on the cross was his,
Death of which never befits him a king,
But this cross is a sign that in him I'm fine,
This cross, a symbol of his costly sacrifice,
I cannot really with confidence detail,
The efficacy of the gift that He gave,
But I will hold tight to this sacrifice,
To the cross of his death I forever bind,
I cling to his wondrous symbol of love,
Remembering for whom, me, he did die,
I will abide by this and remember his grave,
As I await the sounds of Resurrection Day.
