Very touching and sad but our memories make us stronger. Take care
I often wondered if the pain of those we love could be more bearable when we are near for care and support, I guessed it does. Sometimes might even prolong their lives. Thank you for sharing, moving poem, it touched my soul.
Elena, there are many many lives that have been prolonged for this very reason. And through the power of prayer. And if you're not religious, then on some higher vibration as well. Thank you for your thought provoking feedback. I greatly appreciate that the poem touched your soul.

But here is one with the promise to hold our hand and wipe our tears away! How I wish the world had been peopled with such men! Enjoyed this rhyming verse!
You are most kind, Valsa. I truly appreciate your comments. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.
Awesome rhyming and sincere consoling verses in feeling and friendship. Really appealing I'm sure to the one it is addressed to. Kudos. Nice to read from your pen again
Thank you so much for your great feedback and kind words. And don't forget that age is a state of mind. You can be 30 and feel like 60. Or you can be 60 and feel like 30!
An insightful depiction of the essence of friendship, well articulated and elegantly brought forth in good rhyme scheme with conviction. A Friend In Need Is A Friend In Deed. Beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing.
Richard, this is fantastic. It has a rap feel. I can almost hear Eminem. And Bukowski's spirit, - in the background. Well done.
M.J., thank you so much for great feedback. This poem was very difficult to write because I was watching my friend Karen dying of cancer in the same palliative care center where my mother died.
Touching and beautiful! !
Thank you for reading and commenting, Siddartha.
