Not so young and vibrant anymore
Wonder what the future holds in store

This is a wonderful poem Linda. You have taken your introspective musings and directed them poetically, wittily and wisely. Love the down to earth directness of the piece and the irony your use when describing those eulogizing platitudes that are regularly trotted out after death. Your last line is perfect. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
dear Linda- I certainly resonate to the perplexity expressed in your poem! I found myself having those very thoughts today where I worked siding a small cabin (carpentry) - My body said to me, 'you're getting too old for this! ' best, Craiog
great poem, great rhym and rhythm of your soul. thanksa for sharing, best wishes, melvin
I almost (almost) had to disregard the wonderful flow and easy rhythm of this piece to fully appreciate its cleverly composed, provoking message, in the form of the rhetorical question, which the reader cannot but demand to put to themselves. Brilliant L. t x
Midnight....Again you adorn our minds with philosophical theory & muse-fodder. Ilike the tone you establish from the gitty-yup, as well as the poems cascading stazaec movement. It's always a great pleasure to read quality literature...and thats what these eys's see, whenever your name is on the bottom of a poem! ~ FjR ~
Ah...you so well put what we all ponder at one point in our life...some sooner then others....some taken so young they never had the chance or time to think...As usual a thought provoking write from you
All things considered! Truly a great effort my friend. Thanks for sharing.
What a sterling poem, written with wisdom and angst and something only those of a 'certain age' can fully appreciate. Your skill with language serves you admirably and your contralto voice booms with confidence and satisfying cadences. Brilliant. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
What if God is into recycling, and you get reincarnated, instead? Loved your musings on the topic... -chuck
