Thinking Freedom (Part 1) Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Thinking Freedom (Part 1)

When I think of freedom
I think of the birds
Soaring high above
I think of the trees
Growing in the wide around
I think of the land creatures
Roaming wide about
I think of the sea creatures
Swimming deep about
In search of food
In search of shelter
Their major concern
Their only worry.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Panagiota Romios 29 November 2019

Humans do not understand that God loves them more than flowers, trees or animals. There is no need to worry..eventually things work out. That is my experience, only. Faith in a Higher Power who loves us, Human beings are awful at judging each other Instead of loving each other....a tragedy.

Well said about freedom, dear poet it is the need that restricts some freedom, and when it comes to greed, it really cuts off the wings of freedom. There is no freedom like wanting next to none.
