I love the imagery of this poem. It is both an actual train ride with the details of train travel vividly evoked, but the images of real train travel dovetails delightfully with with love's longing, if not its impatience. The complicated imagery at the end is wonderfully sustained, namely, AS I GATHER SUITCASES FULL OF DREAMS, I'LL TRADE MY BLUES FOR YOUR EVERGREENS.It's just words on paper, but so is a peace treaty which brings renewed life to whole populations. Your words bring renewal one person at a time.
Think me on that train, to watch hillside and many more green and pure. Nice poem on sharing. Thanks
