Things Lost In The Fire Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Things Lost In The Fire

Rating: 5.0

Somehow I lost my calling
Woke up one lonely morning
Feeling more than damn depressed
In such pain and agony

Black-out shades hiding sun
Shielding me from the fun
Guardian angels lost
Crying out for such help

Sleep seems so comforting
Life's so damn depressing
Angels surrounding me
God's whispering to me

Daytime transcends nighttime
Dreams overcome nightmares
All once unstabilized
Now so damn stabilized

Brilliant, Richard. I read this several times, and when I emphasized/interpreted the 'daytime' in the final stanza as a metaphor for hope I found the message particularly poignant.

Multiple factors are there to manoeuvre our thinking- negative or positive. But, with hope, faith, self confidence and committed efforts adverse circumstances can be turned around, I think so. Thanks for sharing it, Richard.
