These Wild Birds Poem by DM W

These Wild Birds

Rating: 5.0

These wild birds soar between the sun and humankind
They represent a kind of freedom that's been denied
To us, as we drift solemnly through mundane days.
In dreams and visions, we long to mimic their ways.
Perhaps they are messengers like Heaven's angels:
With their plethora of songs and secular hymns.
Undoubtedly, the fragile beauty of their wings,
Indicates Creation's sublime manner of things.

Elegantly written and beautifully displayed/delivered. And not forgetting the birdsong which is a woodland oasis of utter calm and welcome relief. Nicely done Dominic and a full score good sir.
