These Cold Winter Rains: (December 7th,2020)

Rating: 5.0

These cold winter rains
Are relentless. Brief reprise
As gloomy, foggy
Mists hang still and wet over
My frosted garden.
Yet soon biting winds will roar
Again. They will flay
The trees to skeletal bone.
Like Death's harbingers,
Winter can be malignant.

Yes Dominic, winter can be merciless and malignant and also beautifully portrayed in your poem. It feels like my room temperature has suddenly dropped after reading it. Either that or the house is haunted. those spirits I'm trying to write a comment here. I'm not truly a fan of winter from a writing point of view, spring is my favourite, simply because there is a lot more to work with and far less bleak.. Five stars, stay healthy and warm as toast my friend.
