You left us guessing if he was off to the war again and did not return, or if he just ran out on her. Either way, it broke her heart but started a blood-line that led to you. Life was more difficult back then for both men, women and children. I tried to convey this in my poem 'It May Not Seem Fair.' You have told us just enough to make another one of your great peoms. Tom
