There Is A Poem To Write Comments

Rating: 5.0

When I think of what it means to be alive and how
we have to fuss away the day with doing so many things
just to maintain our mere existence: life becomes just
a state of responsibility. Nothing really more.

There's only one stanza and no rhyming seems present, no humor, nor , no exciting violence, nor alliterations, but STILL I give it five stars. bri ;)

Julia, Today I see a comment you sent me 3 years ago to 'Mashed Potatoes'. Thanks. This poem from you [one of life's 'RESPONSIBILITIES'] rings a bell in my brain. At my age, my responsibilites are less: actually I'm dead now. bri ;)

We are just existing here. We have to take on our responsibilities. Nicely written poem here Julia.

Your super ego is your mother somehow becoming you. Life is just chronic. You can't take a break. then comes the peace and rest and a poem is born. how true.. we are all experiencing it in our lives. thank u dear poetess. tony

Thank you for reading my poems and responding. I like how you've interpreted a sense of peace and rest somehow following a busy chaotic rush and business and how that is sometimes the origin space of a poem…..Reflective reasoning after a hard long day!

What a terrible shame that we can't stop, take stock and listen the planets heart beat from time to time. It slows the pulse, relaxes the mind, allows us to taste the air. This poem brought to mind all that, so thank you.

When we do Yoga or meditation, we leave behind all the mundane routine things to be done. The list of to be done never ends in life. In order to enjoy life, do not shoulder too many responsibilities. Just drop them for a while. And write a lovely poem! That sounds lovely, isn't it Julia? ........10

I did a lot of yoga for awhile, and I think it's wonderful. I took a break because I found that it almost made me TOO peaceful and meditational to deal with the harsh afflictions of some dimensions of reality. I will return to it, but I took a break. Yoga is wonderful- more peaceful and meditational than poetry….

I like writing a poem better than killing a fly, but I have to confess having done both. I enjoyed your poem very much. Real good touch, makes its point, without overdoing it or unnecessary, much. Good work, keep it up.

Chito Faustino, a great poet here on PH, recommended I write less complicated, simpler poems, and I think he touched upon something which this inspired. I'm glad this one worked for you.

Habits make us like rabbits eating grass. Nibblers of fact we stay intact.
