This is a haunting poem because the speaker is a haunted woman. And I found myself identifying totally with her experiences which are both real and imagined. You handled the repetition of the word THERE very effectively, and it binds the various details of the poem, like a thread that connects things. This strikes me as a Poem Of Desire. Desire is a vexed word. It can liberate us when desire is shared, or it can drive nutty if it's just a free-floating emotion with no object. Desire in this poem seems to be leading to fulfillment of some kind!
