There is more than just the 'touch' of idealism here; I detect full-scale all out idealism is silently at work behind these lines. From a mere rock, you have derived so much
meaning (and hope; hope from a rock, rumored to be sacred; but most certainly solidly- granite, grounding rock) . Makes me think of some of the old hymns (On Christ the Solid Rock is one in my memory, though the title may not be exactly that?)
