Then And Now. Poem by Arfa Iris

Then And Now.

Rating: 3.5

crossing the ordeals of my way,
i look at myself today.
and find myself changed a lot,
to laugh heartily i forgot.
though i laugh its empty,
and far from the reality.
i used to greet every one i see,
and my nature was so care free.
i used to move around with glee,
now in such mood its hard to find me.
to gab was my favorite past time,
now its one of the dislikes of mine.
i was light-hearted and playful,
now every step i take, i am careful.
in happy moments i used to take part,
now i just ignore them and depart.
i loved to be a part of crowd,
and with them i used to laugh aloud.
now i just want to be aloof,
even when i feel like a goof.
the joyful soul i killed in me,
now i am a lifeless person you see.
