Carl Sandburg could take the humblest of topics and turn it into a verbal painting that reminds me of a Van Gogh painting with its swirl of yellows and oranges and sunlight
great poem...you can almost smell the fall air and feel a brisk wind.
Carl Sandburg has long been one of my favorite poets. This poem is very nice, but certainly not one of his best. Many of his others could have been chosen instead.
