The Wrong Kind Of Silence Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Wrong Kind Of Silence

Rating: 4.5

Do not hold your pain
Under the mountain of silence
Do not fold your arms
Under the blanket of secrecy
Do not hide your tears
Under the carpet of silence
Do not push yourself
Into the chamber of silence
Do not wash your pain
With a bucket full of silence
Do not hold tight
To the pain in your life
It's your voice
That will free you
From the hands of bondage
It's your voice
That will break the hard shell of silence
It's your voice
That will penetrate the thick skin of shame
And put an end to your torment
It's the wrong kind of silence
Enveloping a bleeding heart
It's the wrong kind of silence
Bandaging the heart of shame

Many a times silence is interpreted wrongly and differently. Nice poem on the subject, I invite you to read my poems.10++
