The World Is Too Busy Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The World Is Too Busy

The world is too busy, never at rest
Always moving in a frenzied pace
A constant race, a never-ending test
Leaving behind a trail of scattered grace
The streets are filled with people in a rush
The sidewalks crowded, the traffic loud
No time to stop and take a moment's hush
In this chaos, peace is not allowed
Technology controls our every move
Phones in hand, we never disconnect
Missing out on what the world can prove
Too busy to notice, too busy to reflect
But in the midst of all this frantic buzz
We forget to slow down, to simply pause
To admire the beauty, the world does possess
In our busy lives, we must find a cause
To stop and smell the roses, to take a break
To appreciate the world, for goodness sake.
