The World Better To Live In Poem by Francis Duggan

The World Better To Live In

If you want to make the World better to live in
With your own self you have got to begin
The good things you do for yourself says less about you
Than the good things for others that you choose to do
If between people you do differentiate
A better Human World to live in you are not helping to create
The words of a wise person i do recall
That a fair go for some is not a fair go for all
Those with love of self in them have love for to share
And of the needs of others are always aware
Narcissism is self love gone wrong quite a different thing
Narcissistic people their own praises only do sing
There is room for self improvement in most people if not in all
And any act of kindness to another is never too small.
