The whole world is an inescapable trap
Where all are ready with their intricate trap
But the fact is that everyone is in someone's grip
Like a frog with wide open lips
In the jaws of a snake aiming for a fly that flies and flips.
The painting of the Valley of Vermant
'The Trapper' by renowned painter Rockwell Kent
Is a creation with a message so ardent:
The mind is a snowclad mountain view
Where goodness like stumps though hidden below a blanket of snow
Cast boldly remarkable blue shadows
Creating an ambiance of vibrant glow.
Man trudges like a lone hunter in wilderness
Trapping and hunting with matchless prowess
Indomitable grit being his dog to guide him to success.
Hopeful hope peeps like the half moon
Through the azure cloud studded curtain
To ensure that he achieves his mission.
But when with deep satisfaction and ecstasy for trapping others
With his bloody catch, the Invincible winner
Forgetting his suffering in the bone chilling atmosphere
Stands alone like the barren stump sans beauty
He's just a sere log of wood insignificantly petty
In contrast to the rhythm of eternity.
Virtues like love, understanding and morality
Are real virtues, the core entity
In contrast to lust, greed and all that stand for ephemerality.
It teaches a lesson to live and nurture
Without harming any creation of Nature
Life and death, struggle, victory or defeat always go side by side
Thus, never despise or destroy and always take the right stride.
