Oh these woods! So deep and thick
Standing at the edge, gives me the creeps

Reading this, I am reminded of Frost's lovely lines, 'the woods are lovely dark and deep'! Definitely the woods cover so much of mystery! Even in day light we are apprehensive to enter the woods, but once we dare, I am sure, it is rewarding and we will be drawn more and more into its mysterious charm!

It's very original to use the forest to capture deep psychological truths about the quest for selfhood.

The paradox of the forest. We somehow feel at home there if we have this type of soul and yet we also feel as if we are treading upon a landscape so alien to us. These forest, these woods with a million unseen eyes and activities speak to something within us. I for one have always found nature comforting when I have had my fill of humanity. There is something honest in the spirit that is eternal and wonderfully unknowable and I return to her again and again.............

There is something about a deep woods that is both fearful and intriguing. I think your poem captures it perfectly.

Leaving fear at one side is good to rejuvenate knowledge of truth and self. Fear is like darkness and this goes out in touch of light. Interesting sharing really.10
